We welcome applications for registered nurses with recent clinical experience to join our nursing bank. Working with the nursing team and support service colleagues, you will deliver skilled and compassionate nursing care within our In-Patient Unit.
Using your skills and experience, you will be responsible for identifying patients' holistic needs and for the planning and implementing of care, whilst also being aware of deteriorating patients to be able to provide emotional support to both the patient and their family.
Whilst recent palliative care experience is desirable, we require applicants to have an understanding of hospice and specialist palliative care, and experience of working as part of a multi-professional team.
The Kirkwood provide specialist care, free of charge, to adults in Kirklees with advanced, progressive illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life, respecting their individual needs and wishes. Care and support are also provided for their family members, friends, and carers, both during the illness and after death. Through education, training, and partnership with others, we improve care for everyone affected by a life limiting illness.
