Teach Major, a leading Music Education provider, are looking for dedicated Music Teachers to provide PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover as bank staff. Across various areas in London.

120 - 150 per day

Hours:

8.30am to 4.30pm.

The Role:


Being called upon when our assigned music teachers needs cover and providing PPA and peri lessons, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' musical development while supporting positive behaviour in the classroom. Your role will be instrumental in delivering engaging music lessons and maintaining a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver dynamic music lessons that incorporate piano, guitar, vocal harmony, and other musical elements, catering to students' diverse interests and abilities. Utilise effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to participate. Provide hands-on instruction in piano and guitar techniques, guiding students through exercises and repertoire to develop their proficiency on these instruments. Lead vocal harmony workshops, teaching students how to blend voices and harmonize melodies with confidence and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with the school's music curriculum and educational objectives.

Requirements:



Essential Requirements: 2+ years of UK primary music teaching experience with a strong understanding of behaviour management principles and strategies. Proficiency in piano, guitar, vocal harmony, and music theory, with the ability to teach these subjects effectively to students of varying ages and abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to tailor lessons to meet the needs of individual learners. A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a love for music in every student. Valid and up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. MUST BE ON THE UPDATE SERVICE.
