The Role
As a Bank Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting young people aged 8-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a homely, structured environment. You will join a passionate team providing high-quality care, consistency, and guidance to help our young people develop life skills, build trust, and achieve positive outcomes.
This is a flexible, on-call role, ideal for candidates looking for work that fits around other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Support young people with daily routines, activities, education, and appointments
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
Maintain a safe, clean, and caring home environment
Complete detailed, accurate records and reports
Work collaboratively with the wider team and external professionals
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (residential or similar setting preferred)
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Strong communication and teamworking skills
Empathy, resilience, and emotional maturity
A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
You must have the right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this position
