The Role

We are currently seeking two types of people. A Night Worker (internally referred to as a Building Supervisor) to work overnight on a casual, as-needed basis (10:30pm - 8:30am). We are also seeking Support Workers to pick up day shifts either (8am - 4pm or 3pm-11pm). You\'ll be lone working in a building providing 24/7 housing and support for young individuals aged 16-25, who have faced homelessness or were at risk of it, within Bournemouth, Dorset.

What You\'ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring their safety and security.
  • Record notes on a computer system and maintain effective communication with support staff for smooth handovers.
  • Keep track of individuals on-site, maintaining building cleanliness and presentation, performing minor maintenance, and engaging with residents needing support.
  • De-escalate any situations posing a risk to residents\' well-being, and conduct regular health and safety checks.
  • Resolve situations or seek assistance from peers and emergency services, when necessary.
  • Demonstrate empathy and patience towards our residents.
