is a 11 bedded care home, which is a 5-minute walk away from Dewsbury town Centre, Clarence House is over 2 floors- there are 6 bedrooms on unit A and 5 bedrooms on unit B- all with ensuite bathrooms- both Units have their own gardens.

Clarence house provides support to adults from age 16+ with diagnoses of learning disabilities and mental health.

At Clarence house, we support the people who live here to access the local community, and they all have opportunities to access work placements and college. We encourage all service users to be independent as possible and encouraging people who live at Clarence house to gain and retain as many daily living skills as possible to enable them to be independent in their lives.

You will be a part of a friendly, motivated team committed to assisting with and improving the standards of living of our clients. As well as a warm welcome, they will provide you with the tools and guidance to develop your skills and confidence in this role.

About the role

Our team are enthusiastic about providing a high-quality and bespoke service to each of our clients, always putting those in our care at the heart of what we do. To ensure we can achieve this, our shift patterns include evenings, weekends, and some unsociable hours.

To succeed in this position, you will need great communication and interpersonal skills so that you can form solid relationships with your clients and effectively handover information to colleagues.

Our ideal support worker will be:

Reliable, friendly and caring to help service users Able to support in house activities and hobbies Attentive and inspire residents to achieve more!

This role encompasses a range of tasks dependent on the client's needs including:

Monitoring, recording, and administering medication Light household chores Assistance with mobility and personal care Assistance with shopping Food preparation Providing companionship
