Bank Support Worker
Job Description
We are looking for bank support workers are required for a care package supporting a male adult living in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area with cerebral palsy and learning difficulties and assisting with all aspects of personal care and night routine.
The role includes assisting with all aspects of personal care, domestic duties and day to day living tasks. Helping him to fulfil meaningful activities in the community, days out, holidays and weekly hydrotherapy.
This is for a 24-hour care package which is 2-1 care
We are looking for support workers who are passionate about support, have a good understanding of working with learning disabilities, non-verbal clients and believe in supporting people as they would want their closest loved ones cared for.
As well as care and support, you will be trained by the treating therapists to be able to carry out a rehabilitation programme. The therapy team include an Occupational Therapist (OT), Neuro Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, fun, caring and can provide high quality responsive care for someone with a learning disability.
Working Hours:
This is a bank position
Rates of Pay:
Weekdays: 16.00 per hour
Weekends: 17.00 per hour
Bank holiday rate: 32.00 per hour
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided and paid for.
