Job Description

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and dedicated support workers to join our team. You will provide 24/7 support to young people living in our supported accommodation, helping them achieve independence, wellbeing, and personal development.

You will play a key role in implementing personalised support plans, delivering life skills training, and helping young people access education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, personalised support to young people aged 16-18, including looked-after children, care leavers, and unaccompanied minors. Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with young people, families, and external agencies. Assist with daily living skills including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and managing appointments. Support young people in accessing education, training, employment, and recreational opportunities. Promote emotional wellbeing by liaising with counselling, therapy, and health services as required. Advocate for young people's rights, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Encourage social integration through community activities, group outings, and skill-building workshops. Maintain accurate records and reports on each young person's progress, strengths, and areas for development. Provide crisis support, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people at all times. Work collaboratively with colleagues, local authorities, and partner organisations to ensure consistent and comprehensive support. Participate in shift work, including sleep ins.
Who We're Looking For

A compassionate, reliable, and patient individual who is passionate about helping young people. Experience working with vulnerable children or young people in care or supported living settings is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with young people, and external agencies. Awareness of safeguarding procedures and commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children. Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and overnight. Commitment to personal development and reflective practice.
Candidates must have:

A DBS on update service GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Preferred Qualifications:

Level 2 or 3 Diploma

in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or a related subject.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
