Priory Lynbrook is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker.
We are located in Bamber Bridge, a suburb of Preston, and offer residential support for four adults who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability. The service is located on a side road in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood.
Our staff are dedicated to providing our residents with a good quality of life, in a safe and nurturing environment, where they can grow and develop.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents well-being. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As A Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.Promoting independence: Encouraging our service users to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills.
Achieving goals: Help set, achieve and celebrate personal goals for each individual, ensuring they progress at their own pace.
Encouraging socialisation: Working with colleagues to engage our service users in exciting activities and hobbies that promote involvement and personal growth.
Providing personal care: Assisting with personal care needs, tailored to each individual's requirements.
Building relationships: Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with external specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
