Role Purpose

:

Our Bank workers at TFP are members of staff who are employed on a flexible, as-needed basis rather than on a full-time or permanent contract. This role is essential in providing support to the children's home by filling in for regular staff who may be absent due to sickness, holidays, or other reasons. We do expect 1 sleep in per week.

1. Position Overview

? Bank Workers will play a crucial role in supporting the home and the daily care of children.

? This position requires a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced professional who can help ensure the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the effective day-to-day running of the home.

2. Care and Support

? Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people, tailored to their individual needs and care plans.

? Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children.

? Oversee the development and implementation of personalisedcare plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.

? Liaise with social workers, families, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.

3. Compliance and Safeguarding

? Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including Ofsted requirements.

? Implement and monitor safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children from harm.

? Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.

? Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits, addressing any areas for improvement.

4. Continuous Improvement:

? Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

? Stay updated with best practices, research, and developments in the field of children's care.

? Participate in training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

5. Qualifications and Experience

? While not always mandatory, relevant qualifications in childcare or social care (such as NVQ in Health and Social Care) are often preferred.

? Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.

? Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and external stakeholders.

? Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

? Commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children and young people.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
