We are recruiting for an experienced Banking Analyst to join our Finance team on an 8 month fixed term contract. If you put the customer at the heart of everything you do and have a deep knowledge of banking controls and reconciliations, then this may be the job for you!

You will be joining the Banking Team which consists of 2 Banking Specialists and 6 Banking Consultants. The Banking Team works closely with the Societies Payments Team ensuring customer payments are handled with care and consideration, whilst also taking care of the Societies Bank Accounts ensure the safety and soundness of the society is upheld.

What Will You Be Doing?Reconciliation of the Society bank accounts, unmatched transactions and end of day branch balancing, ensuring all differences are fully highlighted, investigated and appropriate corrective action taken. Processing of unreconciled items, if these are not resolved there is customer detriment and regulations not met which may need to be reported, Reconciliation of the balance sheet control accounts, using financial technical expertise to understand requirements and the impact of difference / outstanding entries on customer accounts. Lead on ensuring items are investigated and corrected in a timely manner. Be a point of contact for our Branch colleagues other teams across the business and assist them with queries Supporting the Banking Specialist in any AHDOC tasks. Support Audit reviews using the knowledge gained in all Banking Activities

What Do We Need From You?
SkillsTo have a good understanding of banking reconciliation. Knowledge of the supporting system would be a benefit. High level of attention to detail and delivery of effective Business Requirements. Good communication skills both written and verbal along with a proven track record of planning and organising your workloads to achieve deadlines. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships both within the team and the wider business in order to achieve objectives. Enthusiasm and self-motivation to provide excellent service Ability and confidence to make own decisions using initiative.

KnowledgeSound knowledge of the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel. Finance / accounting specific knowledge

ExperienceExperience of planning and organising own work to ensure a focus on priorities and achievement of deadlines. Experience in an administration environment Experience of working in a banking / finance function. * Experience building relationships across teams
