About the role:




The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit a Banking & Treasury Officer to work within the Banking & Treasury team. The wider Financial Operations team also includes Accounts Payable / P2P, Accounts Receivable, Payroll & Pensions, Travel and Expenses and responsibility for all financial and transactional operations.

About You:




The successful candidate will have substantial experience of banking and payment activities including online and mobile card processing, internet banking payments and regulations supporting these activities. The role will support the Head of Financial Operations in delivering an efficient and effective banking and treasury service to the University and subsidiaries and will include supporting and administering the University and subsidiary bank accounts, cashflow activities and the University Online Store.


This is a varied role with lots of exposure which requires a hands on approach to support all areas of the team and wider Financial Operations objectives. The successful candidate will need to have Maths & English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) and be either AAT Level 3 qualified or hold an equivalent professional qualification in a business or finance discipline or be qualified by experience in a banking or finance field. Extensive experience and use of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also required.


Utilising excellent organisational and decision making skills, the successful applicant will be able to multitask, be flexible and adaptable in their approach, be able to work under pressure, use their knowledge and skills to influence, challenge and implement changes and engage with the wide range of internal and external customers using a range of communication skills and approaches. Applicants must be able to promote adherence to controls and compliance in respect of financial policies and procedures.
