What you\'ll be doing:

We are looking for an experienced, pragmatic, personable and talented Enterprise Architect to help support our rapid growth. Domain-wise, you will be operating across the Payments segment, supporting the delivery of digital, data and technology services. You will be working closely with our technology service lines and Banking industry specialists to develop solutions and offerings to ensure we deliver meaningful business outcomes for our Banking clients. .

You will ideally have technical knowledge and experience in the Banking Industry, specifically related to Payments.

Whilst we have multiple assignments in-flight with different team composition, in the main you will be working closely with account leads, industry SMEs and solution architects to shape the solutions, proposals in pre-sales capacity and will support delivery leads alongside Data, Security, Business Architects and Analysts/Consultants.

The approach we take uses Agile when executing, demonstrating progress and seeking feedback though a series of sprints. The work will look to bring insight and guidance to delivery teams or decision makers on enterprise & technology architecture, technology selection and delivery approach.

You will be market aware and able to provide balanced opinion on future technology direction whilst being pragmatic in the need to align to existing capabilities and work within the guard rails defined by the Banking domain Reference Architecture.

What you\'ll need:

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the capabilities within the payments domain;

  • All stages of the payment process, including initiation, order management, execution and E&I.
  • Knowledge & experience of industry schemes including FPS, Bacs, CHAPS, SEPA, and cross border payments.
  • Knowledge & experience of industry standards, including ISO 20022
  • Knowledge & experience of industry initiatives including RTGS renewal, NPA
You will also bring;
  • Proven architecture experience in complex areas, and knowledge of frameworks such as TOGAF and BIAN.
  • A strong understanding of the payments domain, the payments business and how payment systems impact the bottom line.
  • Proven experience in defining and documenting As Is and Target Architecture defining services and integrated applications working with stakeholders to help define & deliver strategic objectives and roadmaps.
  • A strong understanding of payment systems architecture and design and be familiar with the latest payment technologies and trends.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including business leaders, technical staff, and vendors.
  • Experience in leading solution architects in the production of their designs, and govern those against strategy and standards within the organisation. The architect must be able to support the design assurance process and participate in architecture process improvement.
Experience in the below is advantageous, but not essential;
  • Experience of using Architecture tools eg Avolution Abacus
  • Have knowledge and experience of AWS & Cloud Architectures.
  • Have knowledge and experience of cards architecture
  • Experience of defining & building APIs
