Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Banksman to join our waste site team. The Banksman will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and vehicles on site. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency.

Duties

Direct and manage the movement of vehicles and equipment on site, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Communicate effectively with drivers and operators using hand signals and radios to coordinate activities. Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain clear communication with site management regarding any issues or concerns that may arise during operations. Keep accurate records of vehicle movements and site activities as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a waste yard environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear instructions and interactions. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Strong observational skills to identify potential risks or hazards in the working environment. Pay: 12.21-15.61 per hour
