We are recruiting a focused Banksman for utilities work on live routes and joint bay operations. You guide plant safely, control movements around buried services, and support disciplined site practice. You help keep crews safe and maintain steady progress across utility projects.
Duties
Direct excavators, wagons, and plant with clear hand signals and radio communication.
Guide deliveries and lorries into tight utility corridors.
Protect buried services and maintain strict awareness of dig zones.
Enforce safe distances around plant and live tracks.
Monitor site activity and stop unsafe movements.
Support mobilisation and demobilisation of plant.
Keep the work area organised and clear of hazards.
Requirements
Utilities experience preferred.
Strong communication skills with accurate signalling.
English fluency for clear on-site instruction.
Valid driving licence with clean record desirable
Able to work outdoors in varying conditions and stay alert for long periods.
Organised, responsible, and attentive to detail.
