Key Responsibilities
Bar Management & Customer Service
Oversee the daily operation of the bar, ensuring a high standard of service.
Serve drinks to customers efficiently and professionally.
Maintain stock levels, place orders, and receive deliveries.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service.
Handle cash and card transactions securely and accurately.
Supervise and train bar staff as required.
Event & Booking Management
Manage the event booking system, ensuring all reservations are scheduled correctly.
Liaise with customers regarding event bookings, special requests, and hospitality arrangements.
Ensure smooth service for match days, private functions, and club events.
Promote bar events, special offers, and opening hours via the club's social media platforms to increase engagement and footfall.
Staff Supervision & Rota Management
Create and manage the staff rota to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
Support recruitment, training, and development of bar staff.
Ensure all staff adhere to club policies and procedures.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Ensure the bar and public areas are kept clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
Carry out regular cleaning duties, including bar surfaces, seating areas, public spaces, and toilets.
Conduct regular beer line cleaning to maintain product quality and hygiene standards.
Health & Safety Compliance
Monitor and enforce responsible alcohol service and club policies.
Conduct routine checks on equipment and report maintenance issues.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including fire safety and emergency procedures.
Person Specification
Essential:
Previous experience in a bar management or supervisory role.
Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety regulations.
Experience with beer line cleaning and cellar management.
Experience managing staff rotas.
Experience handling event bookings and liaising with customers.
Confident using social media to promote events and engage with customers.
Desirable:
A Personal Licence (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience in hospitality or event management.
Working Hours
This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), with flexibility required for match days, evening events, and weekend functions.
