Duties

Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently Serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards Provide detailed menu information and recommend dishes or drinks to enhance the guest experience Ensure tables are cleared promptly and maintained to high standards of cleanliness Handle guest queries, complaints, or special requests professionally and courteously Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety regulations Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by engaging positively with guests throughout their visit

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately Kitchen experience or culinary background is an advantage but not essential Time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50 per hour
