Duties

Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering systhen Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and promotions. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure proper handling of food items. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food delivery. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments.

Experience

Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a serving role within a busy environment. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain high hygiene standards. Strong time management skills are necessary to efficiently handle multiple tables and requests during peak hours. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services; ability to engage with customers positively is crucial. A background in hospitality will be beneficial for understanding the dynamics of customer care in a restaurant setting.
