Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcome and valued. Take accurate food and drink orders, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly. Handle payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with dietary needs or preferences. Assist with food preparation as needed during peak times to support kitchen operations.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent guest services. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a serving role. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills effectively. Experience in kitchen or culinary settings is beneficial for understanding food preparation processes. Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
