Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food items. Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Handle payments accurately, processing transactions in accordance with restaurant policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is an advantage. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services and relationship building. A passion for the culinary arts and willingness to learn about menu offerings. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
