Gisborough Hall are looking for a Bar Catering Assistant on a 30-hour basis, to provide exceptional customer service across our two hotel bars.

Cover in other areas may be required, where business need dictates. Shifts will include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Flexibility in this role is essential.

Reporting into the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, you will:

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Work as part of a friendly bar team, delivering the highest level of customer service to all guests; Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Engage with customers, taking orders efficiently and providing recommendations when necessary. Handle cash/card transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring all payments are processed correctly. Monitor inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including responsible service of alcohol policies. Compliance with local licencing regulations. Ensure sales opportunities are maximised at every opportunity. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive working environment and efficient service delivery.

Experience

Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers from diverse backgrounds. A good understanding of drink recipes and cocktail preparation is advantageous. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the business needs. Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old and access to your own transport is highly beneficial.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
