Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and energetic

Barback

to support our busy bar environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders by maintaining stock levels, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent service to enhance the overall guest experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a desire to develop their skills within the food and beverage industry. Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Replenish bar stock including spirits, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure smooth service Assist bartenders with preparing ingredients and basic food items as needed Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and wiping surfaces regularly Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to at all times Support with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service delivery Restock supplies during shifts to prevent shortages during busy periods Assist in serving guests when required, providing friendly and efficient customer service

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is preferred Knowledge of bar operations, including basic drink preparation and garnishing skills (Barista or Hotel experience is advantageous) Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and beverage handling A positive attitude with strong organisational abilities Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during peak hours as required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
