We've just had one of our managers leave to peruse his music career. We are looking for someone to fill his boots!

We are seeking a part-time duty manager/ supervisor to join our small team! We are a little community pub in Walkley looking for an enthusiastic, friendly candidate to help support and oversee the running of the venue.

As a duty manager you will be expected to ensure the smooth running of shifts, guide other staff members, provide high quality experience for customers and support the management team. We do not require management experience if we think you will be the right fit for our venue, however, it would be beneficial to have bar management or supervisor experience, especially with knowledge of beer as focus on craft brews!

We require this candidate to be available over the Christmas and New Year Period!

We can offer 20-25 hours a week with immediate start for the right candidate!

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage team members. Be a friendly and welcoming presence. Oversee food preparation and production to guarantee quality and adherence to safety standards. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain operational efficiency. Assist in the development of menus and weekly events.

Requirements

Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff effectively. Knowledge of food production processes, food preparation techniques, and bartending practices. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food safety is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs. A passion for delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism. Willingness to fulfill general bar staff shifts when required passion for craft beers!
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
