Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders and serving personnel
Oversee food preparation and ensure quality standards are maintained in line with restaurant or hotel expectations
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of beverages and ingredients
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards
Lead the organisation of events or special promotions within the bar area
Monitor customer service to guarantee guests receive attentive and professional treatment
Train new staff members in service procedures, food safety, and hospitality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Assist in menu planning, including beverage selection and presentation
Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant or hotel environments, with a focus on bar management or supervisory roles
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
Experience in supervising teams within a hospitality setting, demonstrating leadership qualities
Familiarity with culinary practices, food production, and kitchen operations is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles such as barista or front-of-house staff is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of service
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to food and beverage establishments
Exceptional communication skills with a professional attitude towards guests and staff alike
