We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Bar Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the bar, ensuring a high standard of service while managing a team of bartenders and support staff. Your role will involve maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with food and allergy safety regulations, and creating an inviting atmosphere for guests.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the bar team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
Supervise bartending activities, including drink preparation and presentation, to maintain quality standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes within the bar area.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Develop and implement training programmes for staff on bartending techniques and customer service skills.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create complementary food pairings for drinks.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction.
Monitor bar performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
Experience
Proven experience in a bar management role or similar supervisory position within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, cocktail preparation, and beverage trends.
Experience in team management, with a focus on motivating and developing staff members.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations relevant to bar operations.
Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume establishment is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
