Salary :

30,000 - 32,000 DOE + annual bonus

Location :

11 Baring St, Manchester M1 2PZ

Working week :

45 hours per week over 5 days, by way of rota - weekends and evenings required

Located in the heart of the Depot, Mayfield amongst the historical industrial architecture lies a cultural hub of food, drink & entertainment. A 2500 capacity venue with 10 bars and 10-12 food vendors, it provides a safe and comfortable environment where guests can enjoy delicious food, great drinks, and live entertainment without any worries.

Reporting into the Assistant Venue Manager - Bars, you will deliver the day-to-day running of the venue bars, bolstering the offering, maintaining stock levels, customer service standards and general bar operations. You will have a good knowledge of the local hospitality and events market, including surrounding neighbours and competitors - staying on top of local trends and raising Freights awareness.

You'll be someone who genuinely cares about their working environment and has a solid understanding of licensing objectives and procedures, is detail orientated and has a passion for our industry. You will bring a positive, can-do attitude to work every day and lead your team from the front. You are passionate about team development and growth - supporting and uplifting the team and identifying and influencing progression.

General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Bar Operations



Opening and closing of venue bars Supporting bar service during operational hours Ensuring licensing, H&S and all security specifics are adhered to Ensuring all EHO and general hygiene requirements are adhered to Main point of contact for bar related issues Ensuring quality and speed of service. Creative input for new menus. Ensuring daily and weekly cleaning schedules are complete Budget management Site-wide EPOS management (Square)

Ensuring the rota and staffing levels support efficient operations A natural leader, you will confidently lead from the front, supporting and uplifting staff members who may be new or in training Team management - rota management, break schedules & timesheet sign offs Supporting recruitment drives, conducting interviews and delivering training. Consistently strive for the highest standard of staff performance and customer service Delivering training where a skills gap is identified to upskill our in-house team. Promote from within where possible and be a proud ambassador of our Company culture, creating a warm, inclusive and welcoming working environment Manage staffing procedures, HR processes and team performance with support from the People & Talent Team Maintaining safe working conditions for all employees Conducting quarterly 1-2-1's with the bar staff and staff appraisals

Stock Management



Supporting the Back of House Manager with; Orderings Bar stocking and setup of bars Stock control, stock counts & par levels Loading/unloading of deliveries Cleaning and organising of kit Loss management and consumption reporting Pro-actively ranging broken stock so minimal is left/wasted at the end of the week

What you'll need:



A minimum of 3 years' Bar Management experience, ideally in a similar unique venue or multiple bar venue Personal license holder A good understanding of weekly reports Menu creation experience and general cocktail knowledge Stock Management experience Experience with Square, including menu building & back office maintenance Phenomenal communication skills Experience leading a team and delivering training Experience in similar projects preferable but not a necessity! Fluent English (spoken, written and comprehension)

Are you able to safely commute home from the venue after midnight? This role is operational and will require consistent Thursday - Sunday availability as the rota demands, as well as some admin midweek.
Our usual opening hours are between 12pm and 12am but shift times will vary for open/close as needed. Please confirm you understand this and are consistently available to work as required.
