Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service during shifts
Supervise and motivate team members, including bartenders and serving staff, to deliver outstanding service
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations
Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding food production and presentation standards
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory control
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations
Develop staff schedules, monitor performance, and organise training sessions to enhance team skills
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to uphold the establishment's reputation
Implement promotional activities and optimise sales opportunities within the bar area
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in bars or restaurants
Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Previous experience in hospitality management or team management roles is essential
Knowledge of culinary techniques relevant to bar menus and food presentation
Familiarity with hotel or similar large-scale hospitality operations is advantageous
Barista experience or expertise in serving beverages will be considered beneficial
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive working environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and compliance procedures
