Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bar Person to join our team at Lochside Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bar person, you will be responsible for pouring pints, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the overall experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.

Qualifications

Previous experience in bar person or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but training can be giving. Strong basic maths skills for handling cash transactions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
