Overview
The Old George is looking for experienced, confident, and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our lively pub team. This role is perfect for someone who already knows their way around a busy bar and can jump straight in during peak hours. You'll help keep the atmosphere friendly, fun, and welcoming while delivering great service to our customers every shift.
Responsibilities
Serve a full range of drinks quickly, safely, and to a high standard
Give every customer a warm and friendly welcome
Keep the bar clean, organised, and stocked throughout your shift
Follow all alcohol safety, age verification, and hygiene procedures
Handle till operations and payments accurately
Restock spirits, beers, mixers, garnishes, and glassware as needed
Provide top-tier customer service and support the overall pub vibe
Stay calm and efficient during busy nights and work well within the team
Qualifications
Previous bar experience is required
Personal Licence is preferred but not essential
Confident understanding of basic bar operations and responsible alcohol service
Friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with customers
Accurate handling of cash and card transactions
Strong time-management skills, especially during busy periods
Professional presentation and a positive, reliable work ethic
Working at The Old George means joining a buzzing team in a proper East End pub environment. We're looking for people with proven bar experience who are ready to bring good energy, strong service, and reliability to every shift.

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
