Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic bar Staff to join our team at the Sun Inn. The ideal candidates would have previous experience but we would give someone who is enthusiastic and hard working a chance to prove themselves, you would need to be committed to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment but also be happy to cover on quiet days when the bar is less busy.

As part of our bar team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring that all beverages are prepared and served to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers, providing friendly and knowledgeable service while taking drink orders and offering recommendations. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe environment for both staff and patrons.

Skills

Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and drink preparation measurements. Previous experience in bartending or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential. A solid understanding of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers, enhancing their overall experience in our establishment. A genuine passion for hospitality and providing outstanding service to guests.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

Work Location: In person
