Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy their experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be personable, efficient, and able to work well under pressure, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Duties

Serve drinks and food efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables Prepare and pour beverages according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system Restock bar supplies as needed, including glasses, garnishes, and beverages Assist in setting up and clearing down the bar area before and after service Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards at all times Provide friendly assistance to customers, answer queries, and promote specials or events

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing laws is advantageous Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Basic maths skills for handling cash and calculating bills accurately Strong time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Personable demeanour with strong communication skills
