Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team here at Gilbert and Smiths. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve not only serving drinks but also creating memorable experiences that keep our patrons coming back.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for billing purposes. Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines at all times. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Strong basic maths skills for handling cash and processing orders. Excellent time management skills to handle peak service times efficiently. A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for helping others. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
