Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Bar / Cafe worker to oversee the daily operations of our cafe & winebar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, along with a personal alcohol licence (or the ability to aquire one soon!) as part of a dynamic team. This role requires a blend of culinary expertise, customer service excellence, and operational management with good multi-tasking skills to ensure a delightful experience for our patrons. The role includes quiet times when you will be expected to self-motivate to promote, plan, clean etc. and busy periods when you will work under pressure to complete a range of food & drinks orders. Evening and Weekend work essential. At least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Cafe & bar staff, ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards. Cocktails, wine and beer sales. Manage inventory, including drinks & food production and supplies, ensuring freshness and compliance with food safety regulations. Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers while promoting excellent service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar & cafe environment, including kitchen areas. Implement promotional activities to enhance cafe visibility and attract new customers.

Qualifications

Applicants will need a personal alcohol licence. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or bar setting is essential. Experience in food preparation and cooking; barista experience is a plus. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers.
