Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to join our team in a vibrant bar/restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of bartending techniques, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service. As a Senior Bartender, you will lead by example, mentoring junior staff while maintaining high standards of drink preparation and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain an organised bar area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure the bar is well-stocked. Train and support junior bartenders and bar staff in service techniques, drink preparation, and customer service skills. Engage with customers to provide recommendations and ensure a memorable experience. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service efficiently. Uphold the establishment's policies regarding responsible alcohol service and assist in promoting a safe environment for guests.

Requirements

Proven experience in bartending within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential. Strong knowledge of drink recipes and bartending techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Basic maths skills for cash handling and inventory management. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage with guests effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
