Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during service Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness in the dining area throughout shifts Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction Manage cash transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Basic maths skills for processing payments and calculating bills accurately Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts Strong guest service skills, demonstrating friendliness, patience, and professionalism Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Experience in food preparation or culinary arts is advantageous but not mandatory Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
