Role Overview
We're assembling an opening team for a major new multi-level venue with a strong club and cocktail focus. We're looking for hardworking, reliable Barbacks who can support high-energy bar operations and help keep service smooth from early cocktail hours through to late-night trade.
As a Barback, you'll be essential to the flow of the bar -- ensuring bartenders are fully stocked, bars stay clean and organised, and guests receive fast, seamless service all night long.
Key Responsibilities
Service Support & Bar Efficiency
Restock fridges, spirits, garnishes, ice, and glassware throughout the shift
Support bartenders during busy periods to maintain speed and service quality
Clear and polish glassware to keep service running smoothly
Keep bar stations organised, clean, and fully supplied
Operations & Back-of-House
Assist with opening and closing duties, including stock setup and pack-down
Maintain cleanliness across back-of-house areas, including storage and prep spaces
Support cellar and stock management, including deliveries and rotation
Follow venue processes for waste, recycling, and safe handling of equipment
Teamwork & Venue Launch Support
Work closely with bartenders, supervisors, and the management team
Help refine bar systems and workflows during the venue's opening phase
Uphold a positive, professional attitude during busy late-night operations
Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative team environment
What You'll Bring
Experience in barbacking, hospitality, or high-volume service (preferred but not essential)
Strong work ethic, stamina, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Excellent communication and awareness on a busy floor
Reliability, organisation, and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced service team
Flexibility for late nights, weekends, and peak trade periods
A team-first mindset and passion for nightlife and hospitality
