Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper cash handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or as a Barista is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to enhance customer interactions. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Employees will be scheduled on a rotating basis for opening and closing shifts, which include preparing the coffee shop for service and securing it at the end of the day.
