Job Summary

The Crafty Fox Cafe Bar is a cosy, creative cafe bar that aims for a high standard of service to all our customers. We are all about excellent coffee, high quality crafted drinks, alcohol (which is served all day), French inspired dishes and a relaxed vibe. At night we bring people together with music and regular events with quality drinks in an intimate, welcoming space.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated experienced Barista and Bartender who can bring great energy and skill to both our daytime morning brunch and lunch rush to join our vibrant team.

The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, speciality drinks, beer and cocktails with a desire to provide exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, as well as a good understanding of beers and cocktails ensuring that each drink meets our high standards of quality and presentation. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. pouring beer and making cocktails. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle food preparation tasks as required, following all safety guidelines. Maintain inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management. Perform basic maths calculations for cash handling and order processing.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role is essential and experience of bartending (at least 1 year of experience in each). Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers - confident, friendly and good with people Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques. Quick, tidy and calm under pressure Flexible with availability daytimes, evenings and weekends An eye for detail and love for great food, drink, community, music and art
