Barista

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering enquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Handle cash transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and manage customer payments. Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, lids, and utensils. Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene standards are maintained throughout all duties. Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Previous

Barista experience

is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and procedures is desirable. Experience in

serving

customers in a hospitality environment is advantageous. Basic

maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to perform

food preparation

tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Strong

time management

skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours. Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour
