Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that every guest has a delightful experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices during preparation and serving. Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while maintaining high standards of quality in service.

Skills

Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety regulations and food preparation techniques. Experience in food service or the food industry is advantageous. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
