Overview

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the cafe operates smoothly during busy periods. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality sector in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, in accordance with company standards. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering queries, and ensuring patrons have a positive experience. Operate cash registers accurately, process payments efficiently, and give correct change using basic maths skills. Keep work areas clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout shifts. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

Previous

barista experience

is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and procedures is advantageous. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Ability to perform

food preparation

tasks with attention to detail. Good

basic maths

skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong

time management

skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours. Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
