Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be the face of our establishment, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a great experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while observing proper food handling procedures. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their selections. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using basic maths skills for processing payments. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support one another during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and providing change accurately. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A friendly disposition and willingness to help others in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
