Join Our Team - Experienced Barista Wanted!

Location: The Creeping Fig - Street Food Truck, Lordswood, Kent (must be able to drive to to location/starting hours)
Hours: 5 days over 7 (including weekends) - approx. 40 hours per week. Weekdays 6.30am-3.30/4pm, weekends 7.30am - 2.30/3pm.
Pay: 12.50 per hour (paid monthly)

We're on the lookout for an experienced Barista (minimum 2 years' experience) to join our friendly, passionate team at The Creeping Fig. You'll be serving beautifully made coffee, assisting in the preparation and packaging of hot food and helping us create a welcoming, upbeat vibe from our busy street food truck.

This is a customer-facing role, so while your coffee skills are important, we're also looking for someone who brings warmth, personality, and a great energy to the team.

What You'll Be Doing:

Crafting high-quality coffees, shakes, and iced coffees with care and consistency

Taking customer orders and processing payments

Bagging up food for both walk-up customers and Just Eat orders

Creating a positive, friendly atmosphere for everyone who visits

Maintaining high standards of hygiene and keeping the truck spotless

Helping with basic food prep and wrapping items

Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Carrying out stock takes and ensuring stock levels are correct and adequate.

Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the truck

What We're Looking For:

At least 2 years' barista experience - you should be confident on the machine

Strong customer service and communication skills

A friendly, can-do attitude and a passion for quality coffee

Good attention to detail and cleanliness

Able to work well within a team as well as individually

Excellent serving skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for customers

Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

Food hygiene certification is a bonus - but not essential (training can be provided)

What We Offer:

12.50 per hour, paid monthly

Approx. 40 hours per week (5 shifts over 7 days, including weekends)
