Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic coffee shop environment, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. All roles are paid positions, including internships.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met. Handle customer orders efficiently whilst maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required. Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Previous

Barista experience

is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment. Basic

food preparation

skills for handling snacks or light meals when necessary. Good

basic maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong

time management

abilities to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising service quality. Friendly personality with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
