Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks efficiently and accurately. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions smoothly. Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and register balancing. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders clearly, and addressing inquiries professionally. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance. Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, including basic food service duties like assembling sandwiches or snacks. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Support team members during peak hours by multitasking between serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties. Uphold health & safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred; enthusiasm to learn is equally valued. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work during holiday hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
