Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our busy cafe.

The Lakeside is a small family run business with over 30 years in the industry.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a very fast-paced environment. The candidate must be able to work a coffee machine to produce lattes and cappuccinos which includes steaming the milk to accompany the coffee. Training will be provided but a good understand and experience is needed.

This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and customer engagement, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using point-of-sale systems. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, milk, cups, and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or special requests promptly and courteously.

Skills

Proven

Barista experience

or familiarity with coffee-making techniques is preferred. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and best practices in handling food and beverages. Experience with

serving

customers in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong communication skills. Excellent

time management

skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods without compromising quality or service. Friendly demeanour with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer interaction. Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
