Job Summary

We are seeking a bubbly, passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding menu items. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations during food preparation and service. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and assist each other as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage. A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays as required.
Part time hours- mostly weekend hours.

Full time hours- mostly weekday, with some possible weekend shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
