Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the food service industry while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are followed diligently to maintain hygiene standards. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service. Handle cash transactions, operate POS systems, and manage payments with basic math skills. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required. Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Previous experience as a

Barista

or in a similar food service role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of

food safety

practices is desirable to uphold hygiene standards. Experience in

serving

customers with professionalism and courtesy is preferred. Basic understanding of

food preparation

techniques will be beneficial. Good

time management

skills are essential to handle busy service periods efficiently. Ability to perform simple

maths

calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management.
