Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain food safety standards will ensure that every customer enjoys a delightful experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Assist in food preparation, ensuring that all items are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations when needed. Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently while ensuring basic maths skills are applied for accurate billing. Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages to management promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. A basic understanding of food safety practices is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Temporary, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-14.71 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 40 per week
