We are currently recruiting for a Barista at Chalk In The Park, Farnborough.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and customer engagement while working within a vibrant cafe setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, according to company standards. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service. Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems with basic maths skills. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations. Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, and utensils. Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing any queries or concerns promptly. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable. Experience in serving customers efficiently while managing multiple tasks is advantageous. Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management skills are essential to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
