Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team and to work throughout the store assisting customers where required. As a Barista/Food Hall Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will enhance the overall experience for our patrons, ensuring they leave with a smile.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, adhering to food safety standards. Ensuring all items are fresh and presented beautifully. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service. Operate cash registers and handle transactions with basic math skills for accurate billing. Check off deliveries and assist with restocking and merchandising of the shopfloor. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and meet customer needs.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, showcasing your knowledge of coffee preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong serving skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly manner. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. To work as part of the team on a weekly rota system. A passion for coffee culture and a desire to learn more about beverage preparation is an advantage. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
